CVAP
Counselling

Looking for a registered counsellor who is an approved CVAP provider or can be able to bill CVAP directly?

What is CVAP Counselling?

CVAP Counselling is a service funded by the provincial government of British Columbia that assists individuals who are victims of a crime along with certain family members and witnesses. The purpose of the program is to cover the cost of counselling sessions so those affected can receive professional help without financial difficulties.

Why seek CVAP Counselling?

Experiencing or witnessing a crime can cause trauma, panic, depression, or other emotional complaints. CVAP Counselling can provide a safe space for you to process these experiences, learn healthy coping strategies and move forward with greater resilience.

How it Works:

Check Eligibility: Individuals who are victims, immediate family members or witnesses of violent
crimes may qualify.

Apply for CVAP: Apply to the Crime Victim Assistance Program. If your application is successful, you will receive funding to pay for counselling sessions.
